orthopaedics postings..OT day

today was an OT day.We went to the Operation Theatre to see surgeries that were done by the doctors of our unit.Being posted under RMS(he is our chief of unit.i dun know his full name anyway,gona find out soon) gives me a lot of pressure.Everyone who was previously posted under him told us dat we're dead..or at least are gona be dead sooner or later.But luckily.until today we are still more or less,safe.he hasnt really shown us his fang and claws yet.last saturday was like
"this is what u have done after ur 7 days posted here???"
"are u expecting us to spoon feed u!"
dat was tolerable actually.
back to the OTs.
today was a case of subtrochanteric fracture with intertrochanteric extension(now i sounded like a text book).the patient's left femur was affected and in his leg Xray with AP view we could see 3 fracture lines.the main fracture was a reversed oblique.in that man's case surgery was done to reduce the #(open reduction) and internal fixation to fix the fractured bone in its place.first the intersegmental screw was put in,then the L plate along the shaft.Lastly cancellous and cortical screw was inserted.
RMS sir took a short instrumentation class for us afterwe watched the surgery.Wait2 let me recall.He taught us about the Dynamic Compression Plate and the Limited Contact Dynamic Compression Plate.The latter is the modification of the 1st to prevent avascular necrosis as it allows vascular formation.Then he showed a various screws.
Another case that we saw was the congenital talipes equines varus in which the child's foot was inverted.The deformity was 1st reduced then they put a cast on both of the child's leg upto the plantar.
Then we gave our attendance and hurrayy we went back before 12PM!!:)

that kind of ppl...

i really dont understand ppl who suddenly becomes cold.u know ppl with 'suddenly not talking' n 'not seeing u talking to them' attitude.when u dont even know what's the cause of them treating u like anything!it's juz so irritating n annoying.like u dont even know what u did wrong to them and u tried to be as nice as possible to them but in return u r treated like a culprit of something.really im sick of that kind of person.so superficial.when they feel like talking to u or when they have problems or when they wanted to borrow something from u,they r super nice to u,but the next second,u suddenly found out dat u r talking to a rock.they dun even look at ur face when u talked to them.they even tried as much possible to avoid seeing u.n the most bothering thing is u dont know why!
aetiology?blame it on genetics?hormonal changes?mood swing?yeah2 rite!like other ppl dont have genetic make up in them.like other ppl dont have hormonal changes!why need to show it to ppl who dont have anything to do with it?sometimes,this kind of ppl,i feel like shouting to them."WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!"but really y do i bother?if they dont talk to u,dont talk to them.who r they to treat u that way..
if u are a nice person as in u never shouted to them or never ever once show ur anger to them doesnt mean dat they can simply treat u like anything.
really!im tired being nice to that kind of ppl.
